Hanımeli Konağı Taraklı
About the Property
Hanımeli Mansion,
is one of Taraklı's distinguished Ottoman mansions that has preserved its historical fabric to the present day.
Our mansion was built in 1892 by Hacı Kasap Ahmet, a member of the Taraklı elite. In its early years, he lived there with his wife Hanife Hanım, and later it was home to his son Mehmet Yavuz, a veteran of the Battle of Gallipoli, and his family. In later years, it was used for many years by the Sıtkı İşsever family.
Purchased in 2008 by Pembe Gül Namlı and Banu Tuğsavul, the mansion was restored while remaining faithful to its original architecture. Since 2010, it has been offering accommodation services with 9 en-suite rooms and a capacity of 20 beds. For approximately 12 years, it has hosted TV series, film, and documentary shoots, as well as private events.
In 2022, Hanımeli Mansion was purchased by Necati Pilavcı from the Pilavcı Family, one of Taraklı's long-established families. With landscaping, an industrial kitchen, and a meeting & event capacity of up to 150 people, it has been reintroduced as a multi-purpose living space.
The three-story mansion combines the elegant details of Ottoman-Turkish architecture with its stone-walled ground floor, winter and summer living areas, spacious sofas, shuttered windows, balconies, and bay windows.
Hanımeli Mansion's goal is to
preserve Taraklı's historical heritage, bring forgotten local flavors to the present day, and continuously renew itself to offer its guests a quality cultural and accommodation experience.
